Terms of Service and Pricing for Certified Postpartum Doula Exam and Workshops

Welcome to the Asian Doula Alliance's Certified Postpartum Doula Program. By enrolling in our workshops, exams, or any related services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before making any payments or committing to our certification process.

1. Workshops

1.1 In-Person Workshop

Price: The guided price for the in-person workshop is $1,600 USD.
Includes: This fee covers all utilities, training materials, and one-time examination for certification.
Duration: The workshop spans over a period of 3-5 days.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 7 days prior to the workshop will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Price: The guided price for the online workshop is $800 USD.
Excludes: This fee does not include utilities (such as necessary training materials) or the certification exam.
Includes: The fee includes access to all digital materials and live online sessions.
Duration: The online workshop is exclusively conducted by Cooings.com via Zoom.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 7 days prior to the workshop will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

2. Certification Exam

2.1 Initial Examination

Exam Fee: The certification exam costs $625 USD, which includes a comprehensive study guide and additional preparatory materials.

Format: The exam is conducted during an in-person workshop and includes both written and practical components to thoroughly assess your knowledge and skills in postpartum care.
Retake Policy: (1) If you fail the exam on your first attempt, there is a mandatory cooling-off period of 2 weeks before you can retake the exam. (2) If you schedule and take the retake within 2 months of your initial exam, you are eligible for a discounted retake fee of $139 USD. (3) If you do not schedule the retake within the 2-month period, the full retake fee of $625 USD will apply.

Scheduling: The exam must be taken in person during a designated workshop. Please contact our designated institution for specific exam scheduling and location details. Proof of workshop completion is required before booking the exam.

If the participant fails the exam twice, they are required to undergo a review session with a certified instructor at a fee of $250 USD before they are eligible to retake the exam.

Refunds are only available for cancellations made within the stipulated cancellation period. No refunds will be issued for missed workshops, exams, or renewal deadlines.

6.4 Transfer Policy

Participants may transfer their workshop enrollment to another individual for a fee of $100 USD, provided the transfer request is made at least [insert number] days before the workshop start date.

7. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to adhere to a professional code of conduct throughout the workshop and examination process. Any form of dishonesty, plagiarism, or unethical behavior may result in immediate disqualification from the certification program without refund.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Asian Doula Alliance is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property during in-person workshops, nor for any technical difficulties participants may experience during online workshops or exams.

9. Amendments

The Asian Doula Alliance reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes in advance.

The ADA certification exam assesses comprehensive knowledge of the study guide content and the objectives outlined in each curriculum. It includes both exam will assess hands-on baby care skills and a written exam.
